Cayo Levisa

This key lies off the Cuban northwestern coast where its development is still under progress making it more suitable for visitors looking for water sports rather than a spot for a relaxing beach holiday.
This is the best known isle in the Colorados Archipelago, featuring 3 km. of a high quality beach and a coral reef with astonishing scuba-diving sites. Diving schools provide for the least experienced and its specialized facilities offer all the gear required for the activity in question. Tens of divers are able to enjoy the splendid environs, and the nearest hyperbolic chamber is located at Havana Naval Hospital
in Havana City, around 153 km, that is, 95 miles away. A 6 km (4 miles) ferry ride separates the key to the mainland.

Underwater caves are ideal for both day and night diving possibilities. The main zone starts right off the coast and it is teeming with attractions, including a large sessile fauna varying in myriads of colors and shapes and entwining with a very well-preserved marine flora, a rich and complex ecosystem which is home to numerous varieties of coral, sea sponges, gorgonias, sea turtles, crustaceans, and tropical fish. A true paradise for sea lovers!
