Cuba Tours and Travel is proud to
announce the creation of a new series of professional research trips to Cuba. These programs are for full-time professionals whose travel transactions are directly related to professional research in their areas of expertise and, provided that the research is of a non-commercial nature, comprises a full-time work schedule in Cuba, and the research has a substantial likelyhood of public dissemination. Certain academic research activities can be undertaken with use of a General License to travel to Cuba. General licenses constitute blanket authorization for those transactions set forth in the relevant general license regulation and are self-selecting and self-executing. No further permission from OFAC is required to engage in transactions covered by that general license. Individuals invoking the general license should be prepared to declare and document that their activities fit within the regulations in: www.treasury.gov. Crafted entirely by published and award-winning scholars, educators, cultural entrepenuers, and artists with longstanding research ties to Cuban cultural and academic institutions, our research programs and trips are devoted to Facilitating access to numerous sources of information to support your research efforts, to create opportunities to interact with your peers in Cuba, to provide logistical infrastructure for your research in Cuba, and to encourage professional development and recognition to scholars and professionals. These research programs are being offered by the only U.S.-based travel provider whose three partners are Cuban born professionals with longstanding ties to their native country. Cuba Tours and Travel provides expert assistance with your travel arrangements and all of your logistics in Cuba. Group programs include meetings, site visits, professional exchanges with Cuban colleagues, and independent study. Who qualifies for a CUBA TOURS AND TRAVEL research trip to Cuba?
